Just learned about a newer laser software called Lightburn. Downloaded the trial and like it better than RDWorks. Is this on the computers already at the space? If not, can we get it? I’ve never seen it on there but never looked either.
We used to have it but iirc because the software wasnt set up to do licensing like it needed to for everyone to have access. I’m interested to know what ended up happening with that, I know @heyheymama was working really hard to get it back up.
LOLOLOL. If you mean “asking @StanSimmons ‘has @Lightburn fixed the licensing problem yet?’” over and over, then yes, I worked really, really hard.
Stan installed the new versions, but we’ve not had time to test it yet. Our plates have been full.
@agvet, you game to put it through its paces for our laser community and report back?
Icons are on the desktops of each of the Thunder PCs.
Lightburn is not for the Zing. It’s intended as a replacement for RDWorks which is used by our Thunders.
EDIT: if you want to buy it for home, contact Stan or myself for a coupon that will lower price to $10.
Tomatoe, tomato, you said lightburn in every conversation for like a month or so. Glad to hear about the update
I also prefer LightBurn. I’ll give it a go next time I’m up there and post about it if no one else has.
Please post publicly on Talk and tag @LightBurn. They will see the results too.
Andrew and I successfully used Lightburn on a project about a month and a half ago (RD Works was choking on our file.)
Is this not public…?
Ugh. You caught me being redundant.
