Introduction to Arduino Class

On Wednesday, Sep 16 at 6:00 PM I will be hosting a class on the basics of Arduino-type microcontroller boards. I will cover the differences between the different types of boards, specifically the different sizes (I will bring an Uno (standard), Mega (large), and Nano (small)) . I’ll demonstrate how to create a basic program, which attendees can participate in if they bring their own board and laptop. I will also demonstrate a more advanced project, as an example of what can be done with microcontrollers.

No materials are required, but if you have a board and aren’t sure where to start, feel free to bring it, and I’ll do my best to help you get going!

We have a few aurduno uno clones in the storage locker if you need spares.

Hey do I have to be a part of the DMS to attend?

All classes are open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

In this particular case, the only requirement is that you can get through the door, and even that is because I’m not brave enough to stream!

Thanks guys, I have a class for school that night but I may head out early in order to make this. I have some littlebits and a mega 2560 board as well I’ll bring along and share with the group. Thanks again!

I’m interested if I can get free to go. What room is it going to be in? I have been wanting to learn this for a while now.

It’ll be in the interactive classroom, it’s looking like it will be a party!

So does that mean there will be a Margarita machine? Lol. I have margaritaville stuck in my head for some reason.

I didn’t see a sign up sheet, do we need to sign up somewhere. Last thing I wanna do is miss out.

Most classes don’t have a pre-sign in sheet. Just show up and sign in when you arrive.

FYI, Micro Center has Arduino clones on sale through Oct 4.
