Controlling others will always be the foray of centralists. The only real way is to de-centralize. Put more control in more hands on a local level. It’s the antithesis of the global economy which requires more control globally.
Interesting that Savage in describing the Makerspace 2.0, has spoken how he would like to see the makerspace phenomenom move in this direction. Away from the hobbyists model to a local manufacturing model that creates more self sufficiency locally.
