This would be a great cross skills class. Please do it!

I used to do some of the Adafruit Arduino/LEDs and they were cool.

I doubt I’m as amazing at the circuit part as you are, but I am going to put it in as soon as I’ve settled on if we should do firefly jars or a squeeze and light up lightbulb. Might go crazy and make it both. I’ll be around after our trip. Wanna collaborate? I have an idea and a second set of eyes on the electrical plan could help

I’m interested. This would fit with a project I’ve been percolating for awhile.

There’s a conductive yarn I want to spin but then mulling over what interesting unnecessary flimsy excuse for a project after that

Firefly jars are so fun. Saw an interesting implementation on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland last week.

They used a black silk thread with fine enameled wire and strung them across the water. At one end there was tiny motor that buzzed it long enough to get a random flying motion. Combined with the right color SMD Led and flashing pattern, they were super realistic.
