Ok. So at 2am I tried to get on my computer and it was totally jacked up. I immediately thought someone must have done something at makerspace. That was wrong of me to assume. (still they might have but I digress). It was wrong of me to flip out, write a crazy rant on this website and have a freaking tizzy. I was tired and frustrated and I couldn’t get the work done that I needed to do.
It took the IT department a long time to fix it but they did. They still don’t know why it happened. But I shouldn’t have accused anyone at makerspace of anything without knowing. I didn’t follow the rule: Treat everyone awesome.
This is my public apology.
You are good. I like you. I’m sorry for my tizzy. Each and every one of you I’m officially sorry for being a crackhead at 2am. I know all of you don’t do bad things to people and I should never assume so. Please accept this virtual hug as my apology.

It’s all good. As far as “tizzy’s” and “flip outs” go, I’m guessing that one didn’t even make anyone’s radar. In any event, we all appreciate the work you’re putting in towards making the event a success and organizing the arts room in general.
In the future, when in doubt, blame it on paint fumes!

Nicole,
There is nothing I can see that needs forgiving, but the post is obviously appreciated. As Kent pointed out, I don’t see anyone taking it personally as it didn’t sound like a prank. Personally, I thought a virus had gotten on your machine from looking at some naughty crafts / knitting website.
Oh… and for everyone else at DMS…
If you happen to see that Nicole has walked away from her laptop - you know what to do.
Just be nice and send the new password before midnight.

P.S. Nicole, please finally send a picture of just your knees.
We have all been wondering for some time.

That was the most polite 2am flip out I’ve ever read. Please try better next time.

Yep, DMS is full of hacker thieves that steal green plexiglass and change Windoze passwords…

I’m simply glad everything got sorted. Anyone in that position with so many fast - approaching deadlines would have freaked. I second that DMS is very lucky to have your infusion of energy.

I just read your previous post. I guess your interpretation of “flipping out” is a lot different than mine. It appeared that you were just frustrated, not flipping out… If you want an example of flipping out, you can watch me try to put something together from IKEA.

If I see a computer unlocked the worst I would do is invert the mouse so it works backwards, or rotate the screen 90 degrees. I’m bad about not locking my computer at the space, I just highly recommend everyone has a password on all their devices just in case, you never know on a thursday during open house some one less ethical could completely lock out your BIOS or do something worse.

Thanks for understanding. I have “moments” I’m not really doing much guys - I just like to make excuses to paint the horrid walls a better color. It is in-fact my master plan.
