Hi Makers,
I posted yesterday about looking for a LightScribe drive, but have also discovered that a Xenon flash bulb/Xenon flash lamp will work well too. Does anybody have any leads? Much appreciated!
Thank you,
Eric

You can buy them new from mouser (mouser.com), but your best source is probably garage sales or thrift stores. What you want are old manual flash. One example is a vivitar 285. These flash have the ability to control power setting (f stop) and are triggered by a simple closure of a switch on the PC port.
How much power do you need? I have a few flash-lamps/PSUs for ND:YAG & Ruby lasers. About 8-12 joules.
Another option is look for Monolight Studio Strobe on eBay.
Go for anythign over 600 watt seconds.
Thanks Lampy, I found one through Andy Macha.
