So I just said I didn’t want to do a bulk order but with valentines hitting I think it best to prepare for some gifts. Please take a second and fill this out if you want to help make sure the classes are prepared properly.

Here are the classes Mark “Limey” (@mreynolds) has scheduled (and have been approved) already.

They are ALL in time for Valentine’s Day ~ for your Valentines (or anti-Valentines) momentos :smiley:

More classes have been submitted, and should be showing up as soon as the hold period for the honorarium process passes:

  • Sunday, February 5th, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Get trained in time to make something special for your Valentine… Or for Yourself! :wink: :slight_smile: )
  • Tuesday, February 7th, from 11:55 PM - 2:00 AM (MIDNIGHT MAKER Class - Tuesday night into Wednesday morning)
  • Friday, February 17th, from 9:30 PM - 11:30 PM (Friday following the Open House Tours, so new members will have something they can get trained to use right away! Open to anyone, of course…)
  • Saturday, February 18th, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (To give members a chance to have a weekend class, later in the day…)

Do we have a list a suggested vendors for Metaza blanks? I know the dog tags @mreynolds made were really nice and hefty with a great finish. I liked the quality.

The pendants are a really good size for necklaces, and have a really nice beveled edge on them.

It’s hard to get good photos of shiny objects under these bright lights, but here are a few pictures to get an idea of how they look.

Remember please if you want to order some blanks to use during the class to fill out the form by Wednesday or you will be subject to whatever we have on hand at the time - which might not be much. Items are $5 and will be reserved with your name on them. Monies paid to “tribute box” during class.

Is this one big order for all upcoming classes? I’m signed up for the sunday class and filled in the form.

For Sunday we should have enough on hand for everyone - I ordered 10 of each to begin with. I just am using this form to make sure we have enough for upcoming classes because we have so many classes back to back.

Would it be alright if I brought a plate of copper to see how it looks? the documentation says it can do copper as well. This is a .025 thick sheet, so small and light.

Thats fine with me - just talk to your instructor - you might need to do it after the class. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

I’m going to send a reminder to everyone who has registered to attend the classes that I’m doing. What time will the cutoff be for attendees to put in their requests for pendants?

We are going to stick to the three shapes for now to make things easier for the instructors. Possibly next month but an easier way to go about it would be to take the class and order blanks like that for your own use. Hope you understand - for a class it’s easier to limit the options and just teach how to customize for the individual. If you bring one to class just talk to them.

Thanks for the update!

I’m going to add two hearts for myself ~ one that I am going to engrave later today to make sure the template works; and, the other to get it right! hehe… I’ll be sure to keep one of the engraved ones on hand for the class. However, I will be paying for them, since I plan on keeping them (for my daughter and myself). :wink: :smiley:
