Click on JJ Perry’s moniker in your post (The “@apparently_weird” with the gray background). Click Message.

Bear in mind messages are not private. Normal users will not be able to see messages between you two but users with escalated privileges will.

  2. Click on the messages icon
  3. Click “New Message”
  4. Start typing the username ala @[first few characters] then pick from the list

Indeed. PMs/DMs are a convenience, but email (or some other medium) should be used for anything of any private or even substantive interest.

Just for the record moderators can’t see PMs. It takes someone with even higher access (but yes it is possible).

I looked it, but the additional control flexibility on the Zhiyun Smooth 4 seemed better suited for me. I like the creative ability to dial in focus and zoom.
