I am frustrated by dull leatherworking tools. Can someone competent sharpen them for me?

I have been trying for quite a while now to learn how to reshape and sharpen leather paring tools. I’ve got a paring knife and a spokeshave ground down to the proper angle, but I cannot get them sharp enough to shave leather no matter what I do. I would be willing to pay someone who can undo whatever damage I have done to these two blades and get them to an acceptable starting point. I think I can manage maintaining them after that

Ed Kim might be up for the Job. He worked in a knife shop for years and learned how to sharpen edges there on customer knives. He is an Ex-Member of DMS so you would have to chat with him and see if he can help. He welds during the day, so Text message is the best way to contact him. I’ll PM you his number. While it isn’t something he has likely sharpened before, he likely has the skills to get it wicked sharp. Not sure what he would charge, but if he offers to do it for free, I’d suggest tipping him. That way he might be willing to do it again in the future.
