How to use the mini wood cnc?

What training do we need to have to be able to use that, and does anybody know if it’s compatible with fusion, i remember hearing fusion is no longer good for the machine shop and don’t know if it’s cause the program won’t do tool paths anymore or not

Keep your eyes peeled for a class on Shapeoko2. There is one on the calendar for 9/15, but it’s already full. You might appeal to @jphelps to see if you can be the first runner up alternate in case of a cancellation.

Fusion would still work for machine shop if you could live without tool changes or rapids. Neither of those is relevant for the Shapeoko.

IIRC, the Shapeoko 2 (Woodshop) has a way to take a GRBL input (Jay could confirm) and if so, you can look for a generic GRBL post processor on Fusion.

EDIT: It’s possible that the Shapeoko2 supports rapids, but it’s such a small machine that the loss of rapids might not make a huge difference.

@jphelps any possibility to make me second string for the class? I’ll prepay the fee to save the back up spot if possible!

Class is free. Go ahead and be there for the class and if there is an opening I’ll fit you in.

I also would love to get trained on the Shapeoko2. Can I pay for a private session? Or when do we anticipate the next class happening? Thanks,
