I took the Technician, General and Extra tests last Thursday in Garland. I passed the Technician and General, and missed the Extra by one question (missed 14, allowed to miss 13). Since I only studied the technician book, “not bad” if I do say so myself… So my license hasn’t shown up in the FCC database yet. It’s been a week. Am I being impatient or does it normally take longer?

You aren’t waiting on the FCC, but the VEC (ARRL or WYFC?) The FCC doesn’t really have much to do with the process anymore. For the ARRL, I have found them to take 7-10 days. Can’t comment on the other VEC.

OK, thanks for the info. I will give it a few more days. It’s just sort of tough to not push in the PTT button.
