How do I remove an old bearing?

Does the makerspace have any tool that i can use to pull/extract this old bearing. Im trying to swap it out with a new one. Thanks!

We have several presses. Not knowing the dimensions makes it hard to guess, but I’m guessing everything you need is in automotive, including the hydraulic press. That may be overkill. I’m pretty sure they have the adapters that will let you support the hub and press the bearing out.

Arbor press is the machine shop is by far the best way. It’s less violent than our hydraulic press

I’ve replaced a bunch of bearings, you can press them out with pipes or sockets, if you damage the seals its not a big deal. Damaging the seals pressing the new bearings in is a big deal.

Take the metal lathe class, you will need to turn a cylinder slightly smaller than the OD of the bearing to press the new bearing in.
