How best to cut this piece of plastic?

I need to cut this plastic rectangle in half. What machine do you recommend to cut it? I put this in Woodshop because my first instinct is to use the bandsaw.

@mblatz is in the woodshop this morning. Find him and he can help you decide based on what type of plastic it is.

I would suggest a fin tooth table saw blade. Here is a specific plastic blade from Home Depot.

To be honest most any fine tooth blade would likely work and not be required to be plastics only. But, the woodshop may have a rule against this somewhere. Good luck finding them. There is my two cents.

how about a shear? might not give the cleanest cut, but depending on how brittle it is could come out fine

He did. I did. It was fairly soft. Decided on band-saw…still left some rubber/marks. @amo is a stand-up guy and so gave the cast iron table a good cleaning.

Was that foundation wax coated?

Bandsaw, perhaps with a metal-cutting blade, would have been my first choice.

The metal-cutting blades are finer toothed and less likely to grab.
