Hot Tub Repair Question

Has anyone here had any experience repairing a cheap-o inflatable hot tub? I have trouble shat the thing and have determined it has to be the heating element or heat pump (whichever it has). The manual is a joke for this thing, and they don’t sell replacement parts or I would already be all over this. All of the YouTube videos and blogs I have checked basically are geared toward the water pump going out, however my water pump is functioning just fine. Every time I turn on the heater it shuts down within about 60 seconds (error code E96). One blog had an actual Spa repair guy on there who advised that they are cheap and pretty much expected to be disposable after they break. That kind of sucks since its 1 part that is probably not terribly hard to install.

This is the exact model I have if that helps anyone. Thanks for any advice!

If anyone knows how to repair a heater in a spa I’m also down with hiring you.
Note to self seven people in a spa busts a spa.

Like, the whole thing, or just the heater?

Edit: is that a Young MC song reference? “Don’t just sit there bust a spa!”. Ok I’m heading back to the 90’s if y’all need me.

well first it was the whirly bits and the whirly bits came back and now it’s the heating bits so I don’t know

I mean, personally, if someone shat in my hottub I’d probably get a new one :stuck_out_tongue:

Very technical bits indeed!

@ladysandry finally someone commented on that! I was frustrated with the troubleshooting going so poorly so shot became shat.

Also, yes.
