Hosting a 10-20 person event

I have a few technology minded friends that want to get together and host together a tiny 10-20 person event for a software developer get together. I have a few questions:

  1. Is this an appropriate usage of a classroom?
  2. Can any of the classrooms comfortably sit 20 adults sitting? (will be up there soon to go ahead and scope out the classrooms again - I haven’t actually taken any classes that use the regular classrooms yet)
  3. Would there be any issue with alcohol or catering (sandwiches, mostly) for such an event, so long as all waste is taken care of and it’s left in better condition than we found it in?

Thanks.

  • As a member you can sponsor an event
  • Interactive or Lecture Hall will work
  • Alcohol is permitted for adults age 21 over
  • Food is permissive

The North Texas SolidWorks group meet regularly at DMS and do just what you are proposing, sans alcohol (but not sure)
