Hello. Despite my best efforts, my stupid house’s foundation has been shifting over last few years. Does anyone have specific recommendations for a foundation repair service/company? I would be grateful if recommendation was based on direct experience with, or personal knowledge of said service/company.
NB: I don’t need advice on how to prevent foundation movement, nor on how to google “foundation repair service company”, nor a link to Angie’s List. Thanks in advance…
When we had to fix our 1100 sq. ft. first home in the Denton area, we chose Olshan. Been in business since 1933. Been in this area since 1933. We expect(ed) they will still be in business until 2033 and beyond. They have a transferable lifetime warranty and deposit escrow monies for every repair… I had to have it “adjusted” at the 12 year mark. Sold it at the 12.5 year mark. It was very nice to not have to pay for the adjustment, and to sign over the warranty transfer papers so the new buyer also felt good about it.
It was very costly upfront.
They don’t put the inside of your house back together (apparently some companies do). They might kill some of the plants in your beds (I reckon that’s any of them; sometimes plants don’t deal well with being uprooted).
I would likely do the exact same thing now if I needed it.
Du West is the foundation company I used after three different foundation companies came out.
They DO NOT penetrate the slab - i.e. disrupt your home furnishings by punching holes inside your home - they tunnel under from outside - no mess.
Fantastic company to work with & great follow up.
Du West is family owned and had a start in the 1950s.
