Hit the Stop button on the prusa

No one around, no note, the printer seemed unhappy so I hit the Stop button.

Edit: Guessing it’s been that way for a while…

Someone who knows more about this than me is gonna have to unf**k it.

Looks like it lost bed adhesion. No biggie. Just need to warm up the nozzle to remove the blob then give it a good cleaning with a brash brush. For whomever’s mess this is that is.

Not a job for my shrinking violet brush?

I haven’t had rules about using the prusa’s but they inherit the same rules as the Polyprinters. Luckily it didn’t fully engulf the hotend. Thanks for catching this.

I found that running a glue stick on the bed works very well

I scrub it down with very fine steel wool every month or so, that’s been working well so far.

YMMV, I did that for a while on mine, and it worked fine, but then once I started keeping it clean, and got my first layer dialed in, I didn’t need to anymore.

95 print jobs on mine since January 2nd, more in the previous month. I think I had one adhesion failure, and I sort of expected it. Having the first layer dialed in, the surface clean, and picking the right surface (smooth or textured sheet, and remembering to select it) make all the difference.

have you done nylon yet?

I have not. I mostly use ABS, then a little PLA, and the least TPU. ABS is my go to and works great for all my needs.
