Help with mirrored Vcarve import

I’m importing a vector from a 3d Sketchup file into Vcarve and when I import it, I get a mirrored image (flipped vertically).

Anyone know why this happens or what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks

Have you confirmed the orientation in Sketchup is the right way? You can rotate it in vcarve

That’s how its oriented in Sketchup and once I import it as a vector into Vcarve.

If I import it as a 3d model it is fine, but that’s not what I need to do.

I could rotate it every time, but I’m hoping to find a way so that’s not necessary.

Thanks

Hmm that is bizarre. Well if it’s flipping it when it’s oriented on the top of red wouldn’t flipping it Sketchup so it’s below the red line cause it to flip when imported into the right position?

Does it somehow think it’s looking at it through the bottom instead of from the top?

Sketchup has a notion of inside vs outside surfaces. if all you draw is a flat plane you might try flipping in vs out. Whats the difference between light and dark faces? - SketchUp - SketchUp Community
