I took the class for screen printing and I finally got a few personal screens to use, but the tilt was super off! Hoping someone could teach me? Ill pay whoever it is, time is money😁
Define what you mean by tilt? I just calibrated the screen press offset and angles, as well as resetting the micro adjustment back to dead zero on all the heads.
Possible issues:
- The large screen printing setup is calibrated to the MDF platens, not the thinner metal ones.
- If you mean rotation, the micro adjustment knobs under the lockout boxes ARE NOT to be used unless authorized. If you don’t know how to use them properly you can strip the adjustment threads, and they’re really only needed if you are doing 4 color process printing. If your stencil is that far out on your screen it needs to be reclaimed and reburned with proper orientation.
I apologize for being vague, what I meant by tilt is the angle from the neck of the garment down to the bottom, I saw that my screen was leaned down closer to the platen near the neck when I was setting up, while the side closer to the machine was tilted higher. I assume its because of the weight of the screen but I was wondering if it was something I would be able to learn to do on the machine, or if it was simply a setup error. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
It’s possible the angle/tilt was off, as I did the calibration on Friday evening. If you were using the press before then it might have been off a bit.
