To send him a DM, click on his “handle”, and it should pop up a place to send a message, which will be a direct message.
If you don’t get the option, then you haven’t read enough to have earned the DM privilege. (Talk works on a principle of “how much have you read”, rather than the “I am not a robot” things.)
If you can’t DM him, just tell him that you can’t do that here. He can then DM you (a green spot by your avatar up in the top right corner tells you that you’ve got DM’s to read).
