Howdy. I am new to DMS and inwanted to say hello… I am a lawyer for my day job, but i am also a school-trained watchmaker. I will tell you the story of why a lawyer went to a Swiss watch training program someday if you are interested… I have Boley watchmakers lathe equipment and have had a Sherline lathe`and mill in my home shop for 20 years. I took the micro-machining courses in watchmaking school. I regularly make fixtures and tools for watch repairs and restorations. I have an interest in expanding my micro machining knowledge to include the larger machines. I hope to finally machine a case for the movement i made in watch school in 1988.
I hope to meet some of you at the next machine shop board meeting.
I also plan to sign up for the Bridgeport class as soon as my passing quiz score gets registered.
Thanks, and i look forward to being a contributing* member of the community. If you have questions about watches, give me a shout.
