If it doesn’t require, why is this here?
And even if it’s not strictly necessary, that doesn’t change the migraine-triggering sound it makes.
That sign was on the old machine pre-cabinet and John K. put it up there on the new one. It’s still appropriate for a few reasons that come to mind. It’s possible to operate the machine with the case open and then, at a minimum, eye protection would be strongly advised. Also, as you correctly point out, some are impacted by the noise and would benefit from hearing protection with or without the cabinet.
Sorry, didn’t mean to be rude there, was angling for a bit of humor because many have commented on how much the cabinet helps with the noise.
That’s fair. And I didn’t take your comment as rude, just thought it was worth mentioning in this thread since it was a relevant part of my post on the other thread.
The vacuum cleaner would probably require hearing protection if OSHA had anything to say about it…
And don t mention bands at art festivals,!!! One of my pet peeve, When the band
is so far away that I can barely see them and I have to yell a customer that is
2 ft from me, They are too LOUD!!! I have wished for decibel meter as some
