As you’ll probably know the transition from the old honorarium system to the new one has been a little rocky. Many of us have seen the issues people have raised about not receieving their honorarium.
In working with @artg_dms and the finance committee to work through getting the Electronics balance correct and up to date, I noticed that two of the classes I taught and donated the honorarium to Electronics, were not in fact being reflected in the Electronics balance. One of these was s simple oversight and was easily corrected; however, the other caused a bit of consternation. Apparently there was an guideline that if people didn’t challenge the payment for their honorariums within 30 days it wasn’t going to be paid…
So my suggestion to the folks that have taught and donated their honorarium as well as the committee chairs who may have expected honorariums to take the time to check the Quick Books system (I am sure Allen and the other finance folks would be glad to assist) and verify that the donations you think you made actually made it to the committees you intended to receive them.
And no, this is no one’s fault if they didn’t. This was a transition period and as such things get missed. But if it matters to you, please take the time to check.
