As part of this year’s Meta Bus (http://metab.us), I am hosting a hands-on event where you’ll team up with other makers and design a tabletop game in a day. “Tabletop” includes board games, card games, dice games, and pretty much anything else you can play on a table, in real life.
For those not familiar with the idea of a game jam: it’s like a jam session in music. It’s about creating something quickly, creatively and flexibly. Even if you’ve never tinkered with designing a game before, a game jam is a great place to jump in. We’ll be breaking into teams so you can have another person to bounce ideas off of, and providing all the materials.
