I’m thinking I might build this reference for my lab equipment, as well as a reference for my amateur rigs. I have a few of the GPS modules from Tanner Electronics which have a 1 pps output.

That’s neat… considered building one from time to time, but don’t have any real use for it.
Make sure your module has a ‘good’ pps output though. The timing specifications can vary quite a lot. If I remember, the Trimble ones seemed to be the best, and they also have a fixed-location time-reference mode.
