That is about the only negative with this location. I come from the East on surface streets and have to deal with DART trains too.

That’s no bueno…

Yeah, taco beuno is on the other side :frowning:

@mblatz
I regularly trade train gifs with a friend when either of us are stuck at that train.

You have me beat on quality.

Re that train, I find it best to double back to Crosby or even Beltline, then go west to Hutton, then south to Valwood to the Space.

Gracias! I always wondered what best way to get out of that trap and find a bridge to get through. Both Crosby & Beltline have underpass?

Thank you for not triggering me by showing the top of that particular car. I am already feeling fragile, today. :snowflake:

We have GPS nav units which can route you around accidents and other traffic jams. Why do we not have one to route around railroad crossings when the train comes through.

This may be a silly suggestion, but what about folks timing the trains
I know later at might that id come thru around the hour At night I will
oten wait till I hear it go by

Beltline has an underpass. However, if you come up to the train, and it’s just SITTING THERE, then it’s likely that it’s not blocking Crosby and/or Valley View. I am presuming that they are waiting for the train yard to clear up, and they’re long enough that they have to pick an intersection to block.

We have been startled to come over the tracks, and realize that the engine is sitting pretty much Right There, just far enough back to not trip the crossing arms.

If it’s moving, you might as well wait. You’ll spend more time in avoidance than you will spend waiting.
