Can i suggest 2 popular colors often used in ceramic, and these i could use for my project. Amaco Oatmeal and Amaco Iron Luste Can these be purchased my makerspace. I didn’t happen see them on the shelf there.
They are typically part of our inventory. If they are not there they may have been used and not yet repurchased or were not available when we purchased the last time.
If you need them before we can replace them at the space Trinity Ceramics or glaze queen(online) are great places to find them.
I’d appreciate an option for clear glaze as well.
There was a Mayco clear on the shelf last I looked.
Was that the satin one? I was led to believe it wasn’t that clear of glaze but left more of a translucent/dullish top coat. That was what I meant by an option, which I should have been clearer about and explicitly said second option. I am trying to describe something to use over an under-glaze piece that won’t obscure the effect, i.e. glossy or fully transparent?
We have the bucket of clear dipping glaze under the table to the left of the jar glazes.
I had just bought oatmeal and clear. If it’s not on the shelf, it might be in the teachers cabinet. Any other glazes not purchased is because we had quite a bit left. We try to do glaze runs as often as possible.
The glaze I saw was a zinc free clear which is a full gloss and one of the best options over an underglaze.
Thanks, I’ll check again, I probably missed it
