Looking for either training or an opportunity to prove my proficiency. (I’ve been at this sewing thing for 40 years or so, but am living in two places, so I’m looking forward to having access to a machine in Dallas!) Anxious to be a part of the group and offer my knowledge.
I am also very interested in this
If you’re already proficient at sewing, you just need to take a few minutes with one of the sewing folks to show you our machines. I mean, they’re really pretty standard. And! We still have the manuals!
For genuine newbies, I’m fixing to put a basic sewing class, with a tote bag as a project, on the calendar for 2/5 at 2 pm. It’ll take 3 days to show up on the calendar.
Yes, threading and where the needles are stashed and I’m good to go.
Does anyone have time in the next couple of weeks? Or, I could be an extra set of hands for your sewing class and learn to thread the machines then…
Perhaps @Kriskat30 would clear you if you asked her nicely. She’s at the space quite a bit.
Hmmm. Let me figure out his forum well enough to track her down. Thank you for the suggestion.
There is a basic sewing class, pending, that will be for 2/5. It should show on the Calendar Thursday afternoon.
I think I have this one solved! Thank you all for helping out.
