I am a new Makerspace member (brand new, as of today) and I’m interesting in using the vapor honing cabinet for a project I’m working on; just to polish up some aluminum. I’m experimenting with different finishing processes and the vapor honing cabinet came up in my research, so I’d like to see what it can do.
I understand that the cabinet itself doesn’t require any special class for access, but I’d like to know if I need to do anything beyond the initial broad DMS orientation to get access to the metal shop area in general. I have found posts and information specifying that a class is needed for the hot equipment, but no hard “yes/no” for general access and I didn’t want to assume I could just walk in and touch things.

The only special training is welding, CNC plasma, power shear/brake/ironworker. Bench grinders are a self led training.

While not required for basic use, These would be a good idea:
Both are online and a pretty short time commitment.
