I am going to try the last Friday of each month for the next 3 months, including this one.
Figure its a cheap and free thing to do at the end of the month when money is sometimes tighter, and there will be at least $20 worth of little ceasers lol!
We’ll see how it goes, I think for my own sake, at the moment at least, I need to scale it back but hopefully we’ll get great attendance again like we did last week. If so and it gets bigger the next 3 months we’ll expand it.

Maybe we could feature PHOTOS of Show & Share? Can we upload photos and play them on a monitor in the lobby? This would be a good way to incentivize membership on Saturday morning Tours, not to mention Membership Community.

As a new member, your events seem like a good jump off point to get to know people and join in.
Alas, my heart belongs to Motorsport, at the same time on a Thursday.
If it want for that, I’d have stopped by.
Not sure if that’s helpful, but I appreciate your efforts. I’m all about meeting people in a structured way.

At least twice in the past, there has been a display cabinet in the front lobby when it was in #104.

A long time ago, we used to advertise a “meet the makers” meeting in conjunction with Thursday tour nights. There hasn’t been any since I joined in 2015…

Just wanted to say – we will be at a convention this month, and thus unable to show for this.
I stopped in late last Friday, and saw all sorts of wonderful completed projects from many different SIGs in the atrium/lobby just inside the entrance off Monetary. So we have the “show” part of the equation down, now it’s just about coordinating the “share.”

I think it would be neat to do this around/at the same time as tours. It would give potential new members a better first interaction with the space and the people there.
However, Saturdays are hard for most people. Maybe once a month do Sunday afternoon tours and Show & share? Sunday afternoons seem to work for most people I know.
Ugh. And then we have the questions, since many were lured out with the offer of pizza – would we have to have enough pizza for all those tour folks?
Yeah – I used to help with tours, but 10am in the morning is Not My Time. Even/especially on Saturday.

Pizza is a good point. I wouldn’t budget for pizza for those touring, just use it as another bonus perk to participating in things as members. Or the times could overlap so they could eat and then do show and share? Or vice versa? Eat after the tours?
