Fuselage Pod -- SolidWorks Assembly

After lofting the fuselage pod, I created a one-inch shell. Then I covered this shell in four-inch blocks.

I positioned the blocks so that each covers the maximum area. Changing the color of the loft, I checked for full coverage.

Using multiple Boolean intersects I broke the shell into rectangular, overlapping panels.

I used more Boolean intersects to break panels where they would be self-aligning.

Now the mold can be milled from four-inch blocks of foam.

I put the sections back into the CAD assembly to check the fit.

Next I will add ribs to create attachment points for the torque tube, seat, and Tost hook.
