Sometimes it a result of being distracted by “yet another hobby” Sometimes it is because I just wanted to acquire the tools and sometimes it is because I have a procrastination problem, but I always justify it as a “start projects often but finish them later axiom” It is great to know I’m not alone at DMS. Maybe that is why I love it so much.

One can never have too many tools, just not enough space to store them.

That’s when you lend your tools out. That’s what I do. Then when I need it I call them to get it. Free storage

That assumes the friend knows how to take care of it and returns it in at least the same condition it was lent. I’ve lent a tool out a time or two and they were either lost or badly abused. Now I ask for a deposit. 
or ask them to go see Home Depot.
