Whoever instills a monthly link sammich gathering gets my vote…
My question is can we get a DMS smoker and have quarterly link sammich cookouts.
I think this is within the bylaws of the space, I have no idea what i just said, but that word bylaws makes me laugh.

I don’t expect that we are going to be able to install a smoker at DMS but I can probably put together a house party on my Smoker!
That’s 15 pounds of brisket it’s a lot of sammich’s!

I know for about 250 bucks a day, we can rent a trailer grill with about 15 sq/ft of cooking space or better.

We could make this a multi-committee project: primarily Metal Shop and Machine Shop.
We have that giant old vacuum tank in storage we could start with … Automotive Committee can help design the trailer.
Other committee could pitch in.

I’d rather use an old 250 gallon propane tank, suitably purged by water of any explosive gasses, for this project.

Either or … but we have the tank just taking up space in storage. Since it was a vacuum tank not like nasty things stored in it.

This was the last thing I made on my smoker.
One is a fatty, made with a mix of cheeses, sausages including chorizo, bell peppers with a bacon weave on the outside.
Then there is one of the briskets, I usually make two sometimes 3 briskets at a time.
Of course there is my smoker that I made from scrap about 14-15 years ago. The smoke chamber is 2ft by 4ft. The fire box is 2x2 & it’s all 3/16 plate. Heavy SOB.

It only takes 5 members to start a committee…
Personally I look forward to tagging @team_sammich on talk.
