Dual E6520 Xeon quad core
24GB ram (one machine has 20GB)
FX4800 gfx card
no storage drives.
They were all tested and working when pulled. I’ve kept one to myself and upgraded to windows 10 1903 without a problem and runs great.
I’ll package all 5 for $500. Or $150/ea ($140 for the unit with 20gb of ram)
pickup in North Richland Hills, or if the buyer buys all 5, i’ll deliver to dms.
If anyone wants to set up a home lab with these, there are ways to get ESXi installed even with such an old xeon, typically you install an old version and then upgrade it from the command line.
If you use an open source hypervisor like Proxmox or KVM, then you shouldn’t have any problems except the heat generated.
Yeah these would make a decent openstack lab, openfaas cluster, or even beowulf cluster.
I have one of these I picked up less than a year ago. I run unraid on it and can do docker and virtual machines very nicely. I put in a small closet and actually vent it into my attic with a small fan. works great.
Found some 120gb ssd drives I’ll thrown in. Same price
