Free Training Manuals - All Subjects

The website http://everyspec.com/ contains all of the Government and Military Specifications and Training Manuals. Best of all the website is free.

When you enter the website, select the “Library” button at the top and it will list all the document categories. Just searching for the term “soldering” will bring up 100’s of other documents. Keep this URL handy, you will find documents on every subject under the sun.

It was your tax dollars that paid to create these documents, time to make use of them.

If there is a commercial material or material process specification you want, but can’t afford, Google what the Mil-spec was before they discontinued it after ASM/ASTM/ISO etc. started to replace them… Most had a government spec. These will get you almost all the information you need - exceptions may be some of the latest technical electronics. But materials, heat treating, etc. are pretty much the same.

Great resource Rich. Probably could go on Machine Shop or Metal Shop wiki page.
