To supplement the lack of classes on the schedule I’ve arranged for a coupon code for DMS members to get 2 months free of Skill Share.
You don’t need to enter any payment info, so it won’t autobill at the end of the trial. If you have had a previous skill share account the code will not work so you will need to use a different email address to sign up.
The license covers 1000 members right now so if you have multiple makers in your house please only sign up for one account.

Enjoy.

It looks like they have some pottery classes. https://www.skillshare.com/browse/pottery
Hopefully this is a good resource for keeping busy during the quarentine.

Since the 2 months of free skill share has expired and the space is still closed, are there any plans to renew it for another length of time?
We are focused on reopening, but it is on my list to talk to skillshare and see if I can negotiate an extension or discount for our members. I’ll post an update as soon as I talk to them.

Just to put in my 2 cents. I started using Skillshare back in April because I wanted to learn digital animation, and it has been a terrific resource for that. I am surprised by how few topics are represented there, but the topics they do have (animation, creative writing, graphic design, to name a few) are taught well. I’m hoping that now that Bluprint (formerly Craftsy) is out of business that more of those teachers will flock to Skillshare to teach.
They had a sale back in May that dropped the yearly price down to $59, which I took advantage of.
