Forming PCB Mill SIG

Currently I am stretched thin across multiple DMS stuff. Need to hand off / delegate some projects.
Forming PCB Mill SIG.
The SIG will be responsible for finishing the mill, maintenance, sftwr details, and classes/documentation.
Electronics will supply tooling for the final dressout and for classes.
Members will need to supply their own tooling.

Things that remain:

  1. enclosure and vacuum - dust control
  2. hold down / clamp and spoilboard
  3. final adjustment of flags
  4. sftwr - I would like to see something standalone, but not mandatory.
  5. classes / certification of users and documentation.

Current members are:

Need to update Electronics wiki pg and form @Team_PCB Mill

Many thanks to those who put in time / resources into this project!

@Team_PCB_Mill is now up and ready for use.
Thank you Jim @hon1nbo for setting this up!

Post here or PM me if you want to be added.

how long before someone asks if they can cut stainless steel on it?

They can ask all they want…
Same answer: Copper clad pcb boards only.
Having to supply their own tooling will solve some of this.
And cameras in the committee area.

So engraving pretty pictures in a copper clad PCBs for creative arts is out of the question?

Use the Shapeoko…
