I used this for several years with a high-end laptop that I needed for traveling, but I hate working on laptops, so when I was at home, I just kept it on a shelf above my office desk in easy reach and it would wirelessly dock such that the large flat screen monitor I preferred automatically displayed whatever was displayed on the laptop; pretty straight-forward concept and operation. Paired with a wireless mouse and keyboard it made for a clean, simple, cable-free work space.
