Fishing Lure Making / Jig Tying SIG

Has anyone tried to spin up a fishing lure-making / jig-tying SIG at DMS before? Seems like the Lathes, 3D-Fab., Creative Arts, Machine Shop, and JSM would be perfect seed-beds for this, provided enough interest existed.

Saw some interest in 2017, but not enough to spool anything up. I may tinker with lure/jig making in the coming months.

There was a guy several years ago (when we were still at Ladybird) that made high-end bamboo fishing rods, but that’s the only fishing-related interest I can recall. If you’re interested, I have some Backwoodsman magazines which have had jig, spoon, and plug-making articles. I can try to sort them out for you.
