Fired Arts: Benevolent Coup d'etat

Hello @dryad2b and the other attendees to tonight’s fired arts class. Luis (PR) kept us company while we were waiting and also conducted a very informative and educational impromptu workshop on committees and meetings and how neat his teeny, tiny handwriting is.

At 7pm, I staged a well-intentioned coup and grabbed some unmarked clay (unboxed, gray) and showed the others how to wedge and center clay on the wheel. We then did a few practice throws, cleaned up, and went home for the night. Clay water and bits were tossed out back, hands were washed in janitor’s sinks. Hopefully everyone wiped their wheels down nicely.

Hope everything is alright and class is on for tomorrow? We missed you.

Oops! I posted one of these updates just now, not having read yours first. Thanks again for your help tonight, Zeba!

My pleasure! I’m sure Beth would have taught better and more but hey at least we got to play with clay! Has anyone heard from @dryad2b, is she ok?

I haven’t heard anything yet. :frowning: I’m getting worried. I emailed one of the board members who has her contact info, but I haven’t heard back.

I’m Baaaaack… So – there’s a handbuilt class Sunday at 2pm. We should be done by 5, and anybody who wants can show up at 5. If you think you’ve got the hang of it already and just want to practice, come on by at 3-ish. I should have finished basic handbuilding instruction by then, and we’ll just be working, and I can do tips.
