Im Jake. I am a relatively new member to MS. Im part of an outdoor team that exists outside of MS that is interested in building a communications trailer. I was selected to assemble a team of qualified individuals for the purpose of building out a command center. We have financial backing and resources from many on our team. We are recruiting the right person(s) to help build out the trailer.
I am not ham licenced but am currently working on studying to obtain the proper licences. We have members on out team who are licenced and are currently working on this project. In the meantime I am seeking advice and experience from techs in the ham community for the purpose of assembling the proper communications equipment.
Our goal:
-build out a turn key system that can be deployed instantaneously in the event of an emergency to coordinate search and rescue operations.
-be ready to deploy for monthly training exercises throughout the year.
Specifications desired:
-2 meter/70cm dual band with simultaneous repeater capability
-HF system
-Battery bank capable of being charged by solar, wind, generator, and 12v from automobile alternator.
