Few oz of brass rings

Going through some boxes to sort before the move… found a bag with about 3 oz of brass rings that are the cutoffs from some .223 cases that were trimmed down to 300blk. So rough cut on one side, about 1/4” wide and .223 diameter. Figured it could be melted down or fused together somehow if someone wants them.

Brass has zinc in it so it cannot be melted down at DMS - it’s hazardous to do.

Perhaps folks could use it for some wire wrap design or something else though!

Chainmaille folks might could use them

Good for stamping and soldering practice

I have people now and then say something like, “I have ten pounds of scrap brass, can I use it to make something?” I tell them to sell the scrap brass at a recycling center and use the money to actually buy metal for casting that they will actually know what type of metal is in it.
