Hi all!
I know this is a super broad question, but I was just curious as to what some of the community’s favorite glazes to layer are? Doesn’t have to be limited to what’s supplied at the space!

A few faves zoomed in:
Both of these are Cosmic Oil Spot over Arctic Blue, different # of coats of one vs the other gives bright vs dark.
Chun Plum over Honey Flux (on Spectacular Clay).
Snow over Storm.
And my all time favorite which has eluded me for years! I don’t remember my base glaze but it is Jen’s Juicy Fruit over the top.
Oldie but a goodie! Iron luster and oatmeal. Oatmeal should only be at the top 1/3 or so due to running.
Midnight rain is great all on its own
We have a floral looking binder in one of the ceramics cabinets and it has a ton of glaze layering info from Amaco that gives you a good idea of how glazes will look combined (darker clays will obviously come out with differences). If you’re on Facebook, there are also groups dedicated to Amaco/Mayco/Coyote, etc glazes and people share their combinations too
That snow over storm is awesome. I just glazed a piece that’s snow over C 29 Deep Sea (not at the space) with hopes to have similar results
That midnight rain is something else… May have to pick some up
Yeah that binder has been my guiding light for the layering I’ve tried thus far. Just wanted to see what our community has tried and loved. Good info on the FB groups though!
