Well @Committee_Chairs it is time again for fall elections, semi-annual election. Elections are supposed to be in April and October.
Just thought I’d throw a reminder out there.

While Tim’s point is correct, if u have had elections recently, we are not asking for a short cycle election.
If u have a chair election at least every six months, document the vote in your minutes, and post your minutes to Source, life is good

So do people run for committee positions? I don’t see any flyers saying vote for so-and-so or whatever.
So the way it works is the committee meeting is held. Members of the committee either at the meeting or via proxy vote for the chair of the committee. If you wanted to become chair of the committee, you can announce before hand or at the committee meeting that you would like to run for chair.
Afterwards the Board of Directors confirms the chair, or declines it, usually appointing a replacement if that is the case.
