While trying to resolve the recent issues with the system, I had to open the housing and the computer was so hot it was uncomfortable to hold. I think we need to do something to improve cooling. I’m not sure how to make it better as we also want to keep it relatively protected from the dirty and corrosive environment.

I think it has a fan. Liquid cooled would be better for this application. Idk about the housing
I have some small water coolers, we could go full mechanical refrigeration!

Keep in mind that anything that moves air will need a filter and some kind of regular check and replacement. There are fanless pc’s out there. Not cheap and will still require maintenance to keep the cooling fins clear of dust. Nasty environment both from a dust and emi/rfi perspective.
