I took the dye sublimation class recently, and am starting to have some project ideas for it. When will we be able to buy sheets/use the printer? Also, will there be further required training other than the class that has been offered?
Yes, I just picked up a package of them and Raymond and I are talking about how to best distribute them. We are going to sell them in $5 increments for 5 sheets. Right now it is not organized into kits. I’m going to be at the space on Wednesday after work (5p) in hopes to get that organized (and attend the PR meeting and I will let you know when it’s all established.
@rshill Would you be willing to come up to the space tomorrow to help me get it organized? It won’t include much just getting it knocked out really.
The cost of kits covers the cost of ink for the printer as well.
I’d be happy to come up and help get things organized What time?
5:00p? My thinking is to put sets of 5 in file folders with a little sticker on the folder instructing people to pay and put them all in a file folder holder and throw it in the cabinet.
Nothing big for sure but just needs to get done
(which pretty much defines all the small jobs in the CA room)
I might set you up doing that and I might paint a wall or something.
Never ending.
That sounds good. I get off work at 5, so it will probably be a bit after, but I’ll head over as soon as I get off.
I took the class Saturday. There was a problem with one driver talking to the printer driver. Is that resolved? And there was something about needing to get ‘listed’ to be able to login and use that printer? Anything on that? I’m looking forward to being able to use the dyesub printer as well for some shirts and projects. Cheers!
This is something I was unaware of @bscharff
Please @nicksilva enter a ticket so this can be resolved.
ticket created. I-000484
It has been resolved. I opened a ticket while I was there on Saturday, which Brooks has taken care of. I’ve added the users from the Saturday class for whom I could find AD accounts to the group that can print to that printer.
Cary has pointed out that people should store their “paper” not exposed to light to preserve its shelf life. Sounds like your plan fits that, but you might want to include that verbiage on the folder sticker.
coolness points all the way around!
