Dye Sub transfer onto double-sided aluminum

When I go to heat transfer a dye sub print onto a double-sided aluminum sheet, do I need to “print” both sides at the same time, or can I transfer onto the “top” side and then go back and turn the piece over and do the other side?

I have done it one side at a time. The side you are transferring should be facing up so it gets adequate heat. I’m not sure the bottom side would get enough heat to transfer if you tried to do both sides at the same time.

When you do the second side it is a little challenging to get it positioned. If you use heat tape it may show in the first image that you sublimated so use a very small piece of tape and try to place it strategically where it will be least visible.
