TLDR:
The Teflon sheets that are taped to protect the plates on the 16x20 press are heat warped.
May I replace them? I’m happy to buy them for dye sub.
Is there a brand or link to the correct sheets for this?
Long Version:
I dye subbed some thin polyester pattern pieces last week, and while they came out well, the warping on the protective sheets was enough to slightly distort my pattern.
I’m happy to go purchase up new sheets, and I think they’re just held on with the high temp tape?

JDS Industries is a good source for that sort of thing.
EDIT: Removed incorrect item
Problem is … you can’t just order from them unless you set up an account with an EIN, etc.
Beth @dryad2b - they’re not very expensive. Can the committee just spring for a pair and ask @CaryF300 to add it to one of his orders for reimbursement?
That isn’t the right one. We need the one that goes over the bottom platen. They run $40, and I can pick one up this week from JDS, if @dryad2b approves.

Approved! BTW, anybody can spend up to $50 for the committee and get reimbursed.
I’m not sure that we’ve got a “high temp tape”. Someone was asking for some earlier in the year, and I was assured that we don’t need that.

I’m pretty sure the Aviva store just down 35 at 635 in the Dam Moon shopping center has many of the supplies needed in stock, on the shelves for anyone to pick up as needed.
The Teflon cover has been replaced on the heat press platen.
