Hi all, I need to use a dremel tool to try to detach a ceramic piece where ceramic glaze fused it together. Do we have a dremel tool somewhere in the Makerspace?
There may be one in the pile of tools on the wall outside printmaking. Failing that I’d look in creative art or on the tool wall in the workshop area opposite automotive

@Sls0505 there is one floating around the 'Space, but you will definitely want to supply your own bits, so that you have the one you need. The last time I used one it was along the tool wall that is on the wall on the opposite side of the divider for Automotive.
There are methods to do this
For sure, and for this particular piece they suggested a dremel with a diamond drill bit.
I will for sure do that, thanks! I guess I’ll be on a hunt next time I’m there,
@Team_Ceramics has a dremel but there are also a few more in other areas. The issue is that people abuse them (especially consumables). Ceramics hides there’s for certain tasks. Same with other committees
You should probably bring your own diamond bit/wheel. Those wear out fast, and while Ceramics may have one, it may be worn out.
Generally speaking, if you need a sharp thing, you should bring your own. I’m not sure where the dremel is, but they should all take the same size shaft, I believe.
It should be in one of the cabinets above the glaze. I cant remember if we have diamond wheels in the box, but it should be there if we do
I would up borrowing one from a friend, thanks all!
