New job has me working all the time now =/
I’m slowly but surely getting back up there though.
On the table, I think Larry K has a table base he made as a prototype up at the space currently that he is done with.
We could call up Hardwood Lumber company and price out a top and probably get it this week or early next.
Could have you a very pretty table by Wednesday for relatively little to low cost.
Sounds like a plan! I’ll look for Larry up there unless you have his contact info handy. Any special options to consider for a table top before purchasing?
Since Hatchers has a table, take that if it is suitable.
The demand for tables in the classrooms vary quite a bit depending upon the nature of classes and events. As the Interactive Room is the only remaining large flexible space we have, I would like it to remain the “loaning library” for tables.
That said, Science is free to borrow a table or a rolling whiteboard.
Sounds like good reasoning to me Bill. Let me check out the table in Hatcher’s the next time I’m up there just to make sure I don’t see any logistical probs with it, but sounding like a win-win to me so far
@NightRanger,
The table @Gimli is talking about is the @frank_lima Plywood Table on the right wall as you walk in. It is an Awesomely Over Engineered Plywood table that can probably support 800 pounds. It is too big for out area, but too nice to throw away. You have my blessing to take it for Science committee, but please take care in removing the items on it.
Thanks,
Nick Sainz
Hatcher’s Armory Chair
Thank you @Nick and thank you Hatcher’s for the donation of the @frank_lima original! It is indeed both a mighty and sturdy table and I hope we make the best use of it possible
